New Places Means New Friends

This past Thursday, my friend Erica and I decided to explore the South Side of Pittsburgh. We've both been to the South Side before, but had never taken the time to visit and enjoy the unique people, places and paintings in town.
We started our day of festivities off with lunch at an authentic Mexican restaurant called Emiliano's. I got a chicken chimichanga and let me say, I highly recommend it! The service was great and our waiter was extremely down to earth.
From here, we wandered around the streets for pretty places to take pictures. On East Carson Street we came upon an adorable yet sophisticated spa by the name of Judit, a European Day Spa. Erica and I began taking photos when we met the owner. After talking with her for a bit, she invited us inside of her beautiful spa to take some more pictures.

Inside the spa we quickly befriended the owner's dog. My new furry friend knew how to pose for the pictures we were taking. Let's just say this definitely wasn't her first photoshoot!
Not only was the spa beautifully decorated, the hospitality was amazing. I felt right at home due to the kindness and warm heartedness of the employees. I definitely would recommend Judit to anyone looking for a relaxing way to spend some of their day. The owner offered us chocolates and ice cold water to help us cool off. I know where I'm going for my next manicure and facial!

Our last stop before heading home was a very cute coffee shop called the Bartram House Bakery & Cafe. Here, Erica and I indulged in iced coffees and almond and raspberry macarons. Talk about a great end to our day of adventures!
Taking the time to stop and smell the roses really pays off. You see your city through a new filter and get the opportunity to meet new people. Thank you to those we met today!
xoxo
